The vice president of the Republic of Somaliland, the vice president, Mr. Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi, has launched a large project through the Ministry of Livestock and Development to treat more than 500,000 livestock in different areas of Somaliland.
The opening ceremony was held at the center of the ministry of livestock where the vice president and officials of the Ministry of Livestock and experts who are executing the program of the treatment were in attendance.
The vice president said the government is giving special importance to the animals which are the backbone of the country’s economy.
Minister for Livestock and Rural Development, Mr. Cumar Shucayb Mohamed said that the treatment project is part of the government’s policy saying that the treatment consists of nutrients and protects the animals from deseases
The deputy minister of the ministry of livestock and rural development and the director general of the ministry of animal care Mr. Ahmed Osman Farah explained in depth the importance of this treatment and how it will improve the quality of animals and their health.
