The President of the Republic of Somaliland Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro has met representatives DP World Foundation and Other UAE Charities Organizations in Dubai.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai.
A statement said the the meeting focused on exploring ways to collaborate between DP World Foundation and the Republic of Somaliland, particularly in the area of emergency relief.”
Latifa Al Qemzi, Director General of DP World Foundation, led the delegation, joined by Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD), Mohammad Musabeh Dhahi, CEO of Charitable Work Sector, Butti Abdulla Al Jumairi, Executive Director of the Corporate Support Sector, and Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, Board Member of Dar Al Ber Society.
The delegation said: “We look forward to strengthening our humanitarian partnerships and expanding our relief efforts to address the needs of communities in times of crisis.”
“It is an honor for us that we met with the president of the Republic of Somaliland Mr. Abdirahman Maxamerd Abdilahi (Cirro), during the World Government Conference,” said Latifa Al Qemzi who is the Director General of DP World Foundation.”
The meeting also focused on how DP World foundation and the Republic of Somaliland would help him in the emergency and humanitarian aid.
They agreed to strengthen the cooperation between the government of Somaliland, DP World Foundation and Islamic Affairs Organization and Dubai Department (IACAD) in relation to cooperate on humanitarian affairs and widening efforts towards aid together to solve the needs of Somaliland nationals at the time of the crisis that needs humanitarian rescue.
