    Pharo Foundation expresses desire to invest in Somaliland

    Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Cirro) along with members of the Somaliland government had a meeting with the top leaders of the Pharo Foundation, an organization that works on human development especially in education, health, farms, water and environment.

    Pharo Foundation is located in England, and it has hubs in Somaliland, Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda.

    Pharo Foundation was represented by Guillaume Fonkenell and Farah Jirde (founders), Tom Mason CEO, Mohamed Muse Elmi Country Director, Mohamed Farah Pharo Ventures Technical Advisor, Khalid Esa Head of Pharo Ventsures.

    The general objective of this meeting was how the government of Republic of Somaliland and the Pharo Foundation would invest and implement the production of farms in the country and improve food security.

    The president welcomed the meeting with the leaders of the Pharo Foundation and told them that as a government is determined to attract and work with anyone who truly invests in the farms, livestock, minerals and different resources that Somaliland is rich.

    The president told the officials of the Pharo Foundation that investing in farms and water in the country is an important strategic step that shows how the Republic of Somaliland is determined to openly discuss investments, so that the national aim of sustainable development and food security.

    He highlighted the key role of modern farming and modern water systems in the revival of the local community, development of food security, and even to ensure environmental protection in the far future.

    Pharo Foundation thanked the President for  making this important meeting possible. Likewise, they congratulated the president for the victory of the presidential elections while they praised Somaliland for the peace, stability and the democratic system that was established in Somaliland.

    The leaders of the Pharo Foundation their mission was to talk about the farming project which they are planning to implement in Somaliland.

    They said that the cooperation between them and the government of Somaliland have long ambitions and goals that are useful in Somaliland, which will lead to development and many benefits in the water and farming projects. It will be possible to modernize and reserve water in a modern way, watering the farmland, using modern technologies for farming and preserving the environment.
