The Vice President H.E. Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi has on Monday laid the foundations stones for three water wells being drilled in Erigavo.

The event was attended by the Minister of Water Resources, both the Sanaag regional and district administration officials and those of the municipality amongst other notable personalities.

The VP was once again categorical in his address at the event on how the WADDANI administration government led by the President H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro is indeed committed to implementing effective and tangible development projects in Sanaag region that would contribute to the basic needs of the residents of the region.

The VP and his entourage who have been in the region for the past fortnight on a mission of pacification, reconciliatory overtures and nationalizing of the local community militias has for the umpteenth time urged and called for coexistence and harmonious cohesion to prevail amongst the people of the region.

He pointed out that there is need for concerted efforts to be exerted in achieving unity and solidarity hence appealed for the welcoming back of residents who had fled due to fear of insecurity given that the city has completely been peacefully stabilized.
