The Somaliland Ministrt of Energy and Minerals has issued a tender to supply installation, testing and commissioning of a 12MWp Solar PV power plant with 36 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System including a 13.5km of 33kV Evacuation line for BEC, Berbera, Somaliland.
The deadline to submit the tender has been set for May 5, 2025.
A pre bid conference shall be conducted physically by the employer, the Ministry of Energy and Minerals in Hargeisa on April 5, 2025, at 9:30 am.
The government of Somaliland has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Somali Electricity Sector Recovery Project and intends to poly part of the proceeds towards payments under the solar PV contract.
No site visits will be organized by the employer, but bidders are encouraged to make site visits to familiarize themselves with the scope of work envisaged.
The duration of the contract will be 15 months from effective date of the contract.
The bidding documents in English may be obtained free of charge by the interested eligible bidders from the government of Somaliland website or can be obtained upon submission of a written application to the project coordinator.
