President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro) has appointed appointing new Director Generals to several key ministries.
The appointments are part of President Irro’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the government and ensure efficient service delivery across the Republic of Somaliland.
These newly appointed officials are expected to bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to their respective ministries as they work towards the country’s development goals.
Among those appointed is Mohamed Abdirahman Hassan Rooble who will be the Director General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
Rooble is a high expert with extensive experience in international relations, diplomacy, resolving conflicts and keeping peace. He worked for many international organizations, managing large projects and at the same time reached the highest position as the representative of the country for several organizations (Country Representative). He has deep skills in managing development projects, governance and humanitarian charity.
Mohamed was one of the founders of ISIR institute. During his tenure, he has shown transformational leadership, leading in building independent institutions, providing strategic advice and preparing important research that focuses on democracy, peace, and security in the Horn of Africa.
He also has deep experience in leadership, strategic planning, and providing quality training. Mohamed had an important role in Somaliland’s internal politics while he was one of the intellectuals who clearly participated in the victory of Waddani party.
He is specially remembered for his role in setting up the political program of the party and organizing other important programs during the election campaign, especially the program “Candidate and Scholars of Somaliland” “This program has encouraged the youth of Somaliland to be neutral in supporting the party, which played a big role in the victory of Waddani.”
Mohamed speaks Somali, English, and Swahili, while also having a middle knowledge of Arabic. Speaking languages and understanding of different cultures enabled him to create transparent cooperation between different interests.
Aside from education, Mohamed is now preparing a PhD in the studies of peace and conflict. He had already had two MA certificates – one in International Relations and Diplomacy, and another in Developmental Studies. Also, his first degree in management and management.
