Political leaders, political associations, and political parties are all obligated to uphold and adhere to the desires and preferences of the general population.
The WADDANI political party is at the forefront of achieving and confirming these fundamental goals.
In addition, WADDANI is dedicated to and has a strong reputation for safeguarding the harmonious coexistence and social unity of our population, enhancing the solidarity of the people of Somaliland, and upholding the sovereignty of Somaliland, as demonstrated by our previous and current endeavours.
The WADDANI political party is renowned for its resolute position on national defence, especially during difficult periods.
We refrain from exploiting social divisions for political gain and do not opportunistically seek political recognition through division.
The Somalia administration over the past has initiated a conflict against the people and territory of Somaliland by promoting animosity and aggression.
It is important to emphasise that the letters from Somalia and words written in documents will not prevent the people of Somaliland from striving to achieve their aspirations and determining their own future.
Somaliland is determined to maintain its current status and will not revert to a previous state. The people of Somaliland have sufficient resources and capabilities, both in terms of diplomacy and military strength, to protect their existence.
In the midst of Somalia’s aggressive attack, there exist politicians who are both immature and reckless. These individuals believe that they can gain advantage by dividing and polarising the people of Somaliland. Their actions involve instigating violence, which could lead to detrimental outcomes.
As a presidential candidate, I advocate for the unity and peaceful coexistence of the people of Somaliland. I aim here to foster a sense of unity, promote resource sharing, and cultivate a spirit of brotherhood among all citizens.
I am resolute in my commitment to combat the antiquated strategy of ‘divide and conquer’ that fosters animosity and fragmentation. Individuals who employ the strategy of ‘divide and rule’ in politics lack a comprehensive understanding of the consequences of their actions, which create divisions among family members and cause harm to the nation, its citizens, and the integrity of our society.
The country and its people are currently grappling with the detrimental effects of divisions and polarizations, which are considered to be their greatest adversaries.
During challenging and unpleasant times, my party and I put aside any internal rivalries and wholeheartedly supported our nation, actively protecting our cherished homeland.
An illustrative instance is our audacious intervention on August 25, 2023, to rescue the nation. We refrained from using the situation for political motives, instead demonstrating our solidarity with the leadership and prioritizing the interests of Somaliland.
I implore my supporters, intellectuals, and the general public to refrain from being influenced by the remarks and actions of inept politicians who lack foresight and are attempting to create divisions among you.
Ultimately, I implore the Somalilanders residing both domestically and internationally to come together and safeguard our unity.
We must be alert and closely monitor the evolving dynamics occurring in the Horn of Africa, as well as the escalating violence that has impacted our region.
Dear fellow people, let us set aside our internal conflicts and focus our efforts on addressing the external threats and the misguided politicians who lack maturity.
