The second meeting of the opposition alliance of the Wadani Party and the political organization KAAH took place this week with the parties expressing their commitment to the union ahead of the November 13 presidential elections.
The candidate of the Wadani Party, Mr. Abdirahman Mahmed Abdillahi Irro, said the cooperation is a new history in Somaliland, and it is It is the first time in history that an existing political party and a new political organization have formed an alliance.
Irro cited the example of this alliance in Kenya where previously several parties have formed alliances that have won elections.
He added that this alliance is a success for Somaliland , by uniting for leadership change, which is in the interest of the country, its peace, its development, and its unity. He also, called other organization parties to welcome the cooperation by opening hand.
The chairman of Wadani party, Mr. Hirsi Ali X. Hassan, who spoke at the forum said: “The main aim of the coalition is to seek the unity of Somaliland, to save the nation from the current government that has damaged the dignity of the its people.”
He called on all those who want to accept the change with open arms.
On the other hand, the chairman of the political organization KAAH, Mr. Mohamed Hashi, said that the purpose of this alliance is to implement an efficient political process that will lead the nation to progress and prosperity, to strengthen the unity and solidarity of the Somaliland nation.
