A key member of the Berbera District Council and Member of Parliament Abdirashid Maxamed X said. Yusuf (pictured) has joined the WADDANI party.
Yusuf said he has been compelled to join the party and support its presidential candidate for the upcoming elections due its national ideals.
“I am happy tonight after a long survey, a lot of advice and evaluation to share with the people of Somaliland my political decision to officially join the party of the hope of Somaliland people in WADDANI,” said Yusuf.
He added: “I see the party and its leadership are the change that this country needs to save the nation of Somaliland.”
“We will all come together in the name of God.”
Yusuf is yet another big catch for Waddani after Dr. Mohamed Abdillahi Omar, President Musa Bihi’s closest ally and former Minister for Foreign Affairs under President Silanyo, announced a fortnight ago he had joined the Party and will support the party’s presidential candidate Abdirahman Irro in the forthcoming elections in November.
