The commander of the national army of Somaliland, Supreme Guuto Nimcaan Yusuf Osmaan is on an official tour of the United Arab Amirates where he is participating in conference on technology of the defense and security cooperation.
Over 800 participants from 65 countries are in attendance at the international conference whose aim is to foster a common position in technological advancement on security.
The international exhibition hosted by the United Arab Emirates opened on 17th February in Abu Dhabi and closes on February 23.
Several international companies that produce defense equipment, weapons and military technology and major factories are exhibiting their products.
This event will strengthen the power of the national defense of Somaliland, and it will develop international cooperation, accessing training and technologies and building strategic security cooperations.
Meanwhile, the Somaliland Police Commander Sareye Guuto Abdirahman Abdilahi Hassan (Cabdi Dheere) is leading another delegation of officers to the United Kingdom.
The team is in the UK to discuss ways of strengthening the relationship between Somaliland police and the development agency of Britain who are organizing the aid for FCDO.
A report from Somaliland Police said that the chief police officer of JSL met with senior officers of the British Police in London and also in Cardiff where they had a meeting with top officials of South Wellis Police.
These meetings discussed how to strengthen the cooperation of both sides. Following JSL president’s policy on quality of army, the commander met with officers and discussed the promotion of training given to JSL Police.
During this trip, the police commander also met with the Somaliland community in London Cardiff and discussed their role in the development of the country, especially in security.
