    Irro returns from Dubai mission with a message of hope to Somaliland nationals

    Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro) a have returned to the country today from a five-day working mission in the United Arab Emirates.

    Also in place to welcome back the president were members of parliament, members of the ministers, commanders of the different forces of the country and citizens.

    In his address, Irro said the value of the international conference to Somaliland.

    “We went out with an official invitation and that in itself is a recognition of who we are as a nation.”

    “This conference was a great platform for Somaliland, and the leaders of thirty countries which we are part of among them delegates from 140 countries, 400 ministries, 6000 participants.  it was a great platform for the world to come together. There were several opportunities there, one was that we were invited in the name of Somaliland, and we were invited by the leaders of the world, and we were given an opportunity to talk to the world and the people who were in the meeting,” said President Abdiramaan Irro.

    “We who are representatives of Somaliland, we have sent our message to the people who participated in the conference, we have made our statement to the people who attended the conference and the world as a whole.”

    The minister of internal affairs and national security, Mr. Abdalle Maxamed Carab welcomed the president and said the results of the Governments conference which Irro attended had changed a lot in the direction Somaliland was heading towards development and recognition.

    The chairman of the parliament, Mr. Saleebaan Maxamuud Aadan and the vice chairman of the house of representatives, Mr. Said Mire Giirre who had talked about the last speech, explained the huge success of the president from the conference he took part in the UAE, and they called on the people to support the success of the conference. Work for the president and his administration.

    Vice president Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi said the president attended the biggest conference that Somaliland has ever attended nationally adding that it will give a special value to the efforts of the nation.

    On his final day of the Dubai mission, Irro who had an effective meeting with the head of the Chamber of Commerce in Dubai, Sultan Al Mansoori and also a member of the Administration Committee of the Business Bank of Dubai.

    The meeting focused on strengthening financial relations and how to cooperate in the aspects of business, development and investment. The discussions touched on ways to boost the trade in Somaliland, attract UAE investors especially in infrastructure, logistics, energy, development of knowledge and capacity of Somaliland and how to facilitate direct trade relations between Dubai and Somaliland.
    The president highlighted the strategic location of Somaliland, the investment opportunities in Somaliland and how to create a business environment.

    The president also had a meeting with the delegates of Senegal who participated in the World Conference of Dubai 2025 where they discussed the cooperation between the two countries in business, administration, education and development.

    The president talked about how to revive the current ties between the two brotherly countries and how to reinforce the cooperation between Somaliland and Senegal.
