President of Somaliland Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilaahi (Cirro) has ordered his ministers to deliver the promises the government and the Waddani party made to the citizens.
The president said every minister should provide general information every 15 days in relation to his ministry on the ongoing projects, plans, the investments and the benefits of those projects that have for the needs of the society.
He gave the directive during the 4th meeting of the council of ministers which was also attended by Vice President Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi.
The president listened to different information from the council of ministers which are important for the national interests, on security, economy, social issues and export of animals which are the backbone of our economy.
The minister of internal security gave a report about the general situation in the country and said that the security of the country is in control.
The minister of finance and economic development also gave information about the general economy of the country and how to improve the tax and income. He further stated that a committee that consisting of his ministry and the bank of Republic of Somaliland will be constituted to give advice on the current situation of the economy and how to control the exports and the expansion.
The minister of livestock and development gave information about the movements of the animals and the challenges adding that animals are the backbone of the economy of the country.
He said the number of livestock stands at 3,718,966 lives including sheep, cows and camels.
