Waddani presidential candidate Abdirahman Irro held a meeting in Hargeisa this afternoon with the leaders of the Arab community.
In the meeting, Arab traditional leaders have offered to support Irro, and tomorrow they will be part of the trip to Baligubadle.
Among the traditional leaders present at the meeting were Sultan Ahmed Sultan Barre, Sultan Rashid Busharo, Ugas Ahmed Mohamed, Jif Aqil Abdirahman, Jif Aqil Bashe, Aqil Halac, Jif Aqil Guray Iman, Jif Aqil Mohamud Aw Ismail, Jif Aqil Deeq, Sheikh Abdirahman.
They appreciated the push by the Waddani party to bring change in Somaliland expressing hope that the election of Irro will herald a new beginning for the country.
The Arab redominantly live on the middle and southwest side of Hargeisa and in the Baligubadle district Hawd region) of Somaliland, with its capital Baligubadle being an exclusively Arap territory.
