President Muse Bihi has today chaired a cabinet meeting at the lresidential.palace to discuss the upcoming presidential election.
The .meeting also touched on important issues related to security, economy of the country and preparation for the elections.
After the meeting, the minister of interior ministry, Mr. Mohamed Kaahin Ahmed briefed the media saying they discussed on the economic situation of the country and the preparation of the budget 2025 which was presented by the minister of finance development, Dr. Sacad Cali Shire.
The meeting also debated on laws governing the media covering the elections.
The attorney general of the nation, Mr. Abdisamad Omar Maal presented to the council the media laws, which is a change from the previous rules, the law of media. LR. 27/2004, while the council gave a deep explanation about the importance of this new law and the differences between the amendments.
The cabinet called on the citizens to prepare for the elections set for November 13.
