Waddani Presidential candidate Abdirahman Irro received a rousing welcome in Salahlay district as his campaign for the Somaliland president took a higher gear.
Irro while addressing the crowd said Somaliland is itching for change which his party is promising to bring.
“You people are the ones who will bring change of leadership through your vote on November 13 when we go for the elections,”Irro said.
“I praise you for being the leaders in the change of leadership that the country needs to take place. Never more powerful.”
He said even if ruling party misappropriates the wealth of the nation, it can never undermine the support of the Waddani party in the district.
He said the outgoing president has failed the country is so many areas and have not helped the country during it’s reign.
“The time was given to Kulmiye but it has not been useful. To my Great Clan Arab i am calling you to elect Irro “.
Waddani deputy chairman Dr Mohamed Abdillahi Omar said Somaliland needs a strategy to bring back the country’s peace, brotherhood and unity.
He said: “The same way the president talked to the people of Sool, he spoke to our international friends, which led to Somaliland to enter into international and national decision.”
He said Waddani leadership is based on re-brothering and protecting the unity of the citizens of Somaliland, restoring the international ties that the country had in the world and the implementation of political stability.
