Plans are underway for a political cooperation between the ruling Kulmiye party and opposition UCID.
The leaders of the two parties had a lunch meeting held at Hotel Baraar in Hargeisa city with an election discussion on the table.
In this meeting, the leaders of the two parties discussed how to work together on national issues, the upcoming elections, the security and the national defense of the Republic of Somaliland.
The two parties agreed to continue the meeting with others.
This comes barely a fortnight after the opposition party Waddani entered into a political agreement with KAAH political association to work together ahead of the November 13 presidential elections.
