A session of Somaliland’s House of Representatives was postponed today due to a lack of quorum for the third consecutive day, as the House had earlier called to reconvene following the President’s resubmission of the budget bill for the year 2024.
The dispute between the House of Representatives and the government regarding the budget allocation has led to suspending the MPs’ salaries.
The House’s meeting was prompted by recent laws proposed by President Muse Bihi Abdi, which the House had previously approved.
