The president of Somaliland on Saturday met a delegation from the United Nations Organization.
President Muuse Biixi Abdi welcomed the deputy secretary of the United Nations in the palace, and the director of humanitarian aid, Mr. George Conway along with the top ten leaders of the United Nation.
This meeting discussed on how to strengthen the development of the aid that the United Nations Organizations support in Somaliland and on cooperation especially on the issues of humanity, in accordance with the laws of Somaliland and international.
The president also urged his government and the United Nations to work together to understand the laws that set for the country.
Among the minister present during the meeting were social affairs Ali Cumar Mohamed (Ali Xoor-xoor), planning and development Ahmed Mohamed Diiriye (Tororno), the chairman of the refugee and displaced Abdikariim Ahmed Mohamed (Xinif), the deputy chairman of the central bank of Somaliland Abdi. Rahmaan Mohamed Abdullahi and The General Director of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ahmed Abokor Maxamed.
From the UN side were Deputy Head of United Nations, Mr. Crispen Rukasha Representative of OCHA, Mr.Ruger Kahwa, Head of OCHA Office, Mr. Wafaa Saeed, UNICEF Representative, Mr. El-Khidir Daloum Mahmoud, WFP, Mr. Frantz Celestin, Head of IOM, Mr. Charles Mballa, Representative of UNHCR, Mr. Abdoul Karim Bah, Head of FAO, Ms. Anna Maria Adhikari, Special Assistant of DSRSG/RC/HC, Mr. Nikolai Rogosaroff the head of UNSOM and Abdi Askar from Hargeisa office.
