Opposition party WADDANI wants the European Union ambassador to be impartial in the political situation in Somaliland.
The party’s top leadership opted not to meet up with the EU ambassador Tiina Intelmann who they feel is leaning towards the position taken by the government to extend the term of President Muse Bihi.
Instead the party sent its representatives to meet with Tiina Intelmann who informed her of the pending prodemocracy rallies planned by the opposition and the results of government crack which could lead to violent uprising.
Presidential elections in Somaliland were set for November 13, 2022, but president Bihi is insisting in registering new and weak political association first.
The Waddani representatives told Amb. Tiina Intelmann to leave the matter to the opposition parties and their supporters to solve them.
