Las Anod bloodshed unacceptable, says Irro

The presidential candidate of the Waddani party and opposition leader in Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro), says that the bloodshed in Las Anod is unacceptable and has called for an immediate end to the fighting that has resulted in significant casualties.

He also criticized Somaliland’s outgoing President Muse Bihi for sending troops to the region and accused the Puntland state of Somalia of interfering in the Sool region.

The conflict in Las Anod continues despite calls from both sides to end the violence and international appeals for a ceasefire and peaceful resolution.

The clashes have caused widespread destruction and casualties, with thousands of people displaced from their homes due to the fighting and the destruction of their properties.
