Somaliland opposition leaders are now warning the public of undemocratic plans by President Muse Bihi  to cripple the opposition and crash his dissidents.

The two leaders of the opposition were reacting to a report prepared about the killing of pro-democracy protesters in August last year.

The Waddani Party presidential candidate Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro and the chairman of UCID Party, Faisal Ali Warabe, called on the public to be careful about the president’s dangerous plans.

“I say to the people of Somaliland, if we are not careful about the president’s leadership and plans, it will take us to a place where we will not be able to recover, so be careful, don’t be divided.” Chairman Faisal said.

Waddani presidential candidate Abdirahman Irro also appealed to the people in maintaining peace and harmony, and on the other hand, he called on the people to reject the injustices of the government.

The opposition parties have repeatedly accused the government of deliberately killing and arrested unarmed protesters, and politicians.
